I used to be a professional artist and still create a few original paintings (see below) in between therapy work. I also still have a limited selection of pigment ink prints.

These artworks use various techniques of etching and painting with acrylic on both the reverse side of plexiglass and on the backing board. Sometimes there is more than one version of the same design but each is uniquely different. Some are framed both with the backing board and an additional frame (see examples below). There are currently only a few left in my studio - so please enquire if you'd like one.

These serve as daily reminders of beautiful places explored within the New Zealand Landscape...
'Sunset Near Mueller Hut' is the view from the rocky ridge of Mt Cook and beyond from Mueller Hut in Mt Cook National Park. All other acrylic paintings within this series have been sold.
Many of these small (approx 14.5x21cm) one-off, original watercolour paintings were created on location sitting on a rock or on the side of a hill, right out there, immersed in NZ's spectacular landscape.
Pencil, watercolour paint and sometimes also watercolour pencils, are used.

Each one-off original watercolour painting comes surrounded by an A4 (21x29.7cm) matt, backed with A4 archival board, and is slotted into a cellophane sleeve. Remove sleeve and place entire contents into a standard A4 sized frame OR take to a picture framer, where you can even change the matt if you wish as the 14.5x21cm painting is attached with easy-to-remove, acid free hinging tape (see pics below). For protection, artwork is shipped with extra board.
